How can I request an activation letter for my photoTAN reader / app?

The activation letter is necessary in order to enable the "photoTAN" reader / app. If you have not received a letter or do not have your activation letter, then you can request it in a number of ways. Note that ordering a new activation letter will reset your photoTAN process and delete all usage data. The photoTAN procedure is only available after activation with the new activation letter. You will receive it by post after approximately 2-3 days. 

In the Corporate Clients Portal - photoTAN activated

  1. Log in to the Corporate Clients Portal in order to request a new activation letter.
  2. Click on the "Manage" button in the "photoTAN" line.
  3. Then select "New activation letter" and then on "Continue".
  4. Click on "Approval" to order your photoTAN letter. After your approval, your existing activation letter will no longer be valid.
  5. You will receive your new activation letter by post after about 2-3 days.

In the Corporate Clients Portal - photoTAN not activated

  1. Log in to the Corporate Clients Portal with your credentials in order to receive a new activation letter.
  2. Instead of approving the registration with the photoTAN app, click on "Cancel / TAN Management".
  3. Click on "Manage" in the "photoTAN" line.
  4. Then select "New activation letter" and click on "Continue".
  5. Select "Approval" in order to request a new activation letter. Note that your current activation letter will no longer be valid once you provide your approval.
  6. Your new activation letter will be sent to you by post.

In the photoTAN-App

  1. Open your photoTAN app.
  2. Select "Order Activation Letter" in the "Overview" area.
  3. Enter your credentials.
  4. Confirm your order after successful login. At the end of the process a confirmation message will displayed.

Further Information

  • When requesting a new activation letter, via the Corporate Clients Portal, the letter will be sent to you by post.
  • Keep your activation letter as you will need it if you want to activate the photoTAN app on a new device.
